Happy New Year

On behalf of myself and Omar, we wanted to wish all of our family and friends a very blessed new year! And what better way to end off what has been a very good year for us than to share with you some very beautiful images of a very sweet family.

New Friends

I am so happy that I have had the opportunity to meet so many new families during my holiday sessions in the valley. Each session is unique in its own way and at the end of each, I feel like I've made new friends.

Finally

So it finally seems like the antibiotics are starting to kick in and I am starting to feel like myself again. I am really looking forward to being able to hug and kiss my daughter again! It's torture not being able to squeeze and just love on those adorable cheeks of hers.

Plus, my new found burst of energy helped me make progress on my editing. Here are a few of my favorites from a family session this past weekend...enjoy!!

the Holiday blues

I feel like I've fallen so behind on my editing. The holidays can be really hectic and this one was no exception. And to top it all off, I came down with a case of broncitis -- I was in bed all day yesterday. And despite doctor's orders of bed rest today, I couldn't resist to start working on the photos from a mother-son session I had last Friday. I had so much fun at this session. Dominic was so sweet and polite. We talked about movies and the Cowboys and I was able to capture very sweet images of the love that they share for one another.

Adorable cousins..

I had the opportunity to photograph two adorable little girls this morning. They were so sweet and so eager to dress up and pose for the camera. I had a lot of fun! I haven't had the chance to work on all of them yet, but here are two of my favorites so far..

Vacation Time

Omar and I are on vacation for a full three weeks! So, we're spending time with family and having family sessions in the valley. Here are a couple of favorites from my first session. This brother-sister duo was so cute to work with and their personalities really shine through in the images we captured!

Little, little five week old

I had a very sweet client this past Sunday. At five weeks old, she was still as tiny as can be. We waited for a long while for her to fall asleep but when she finally did, she slept so soundly that we were able to capture very beautiful moments with mommy and daddy.

The wait is over!

What a beautiful wedding! I don't think I've ever cried, laughed and danced so much before -- and all in the same night. It was filled with deep colors of red, very emotional moments that left you fighting back tears and a very close bond between two newly united families. It was the perfect day for a very sweet and dear friend of mine.

Final Gallery

After a week of full editing, I've finally started working on the final gallery of the four studio sessions I had last week and I am loving the way they are turning out!

Family Fun!

We had a session with Omar's brother's family and boy was it fun! The kids were great -- snuggling with mommy and daddy came so naturally to them -- and we were able to get beautiful candids of the love that this family shares for one another.

I just love studio work. I had not been in the studio in a while because of the fall outdoor sessions, but as I work on my latest studio gallery, I realize just how much I missed it.

"She's so cute"

"She's so cute..", that's all my husband could say as he looked upon little GG's pictures. She has the cutest expressions and little face you could ever ask for. We had the privilege of taking pictures of her when she was only four days old and she's still as cute six months later.

Here she is, in all of her cuteness..
