Home Sweet Studio

We had our very first session in our home studio this past week. It's still a work in progress, but it's so nice to finally have a dedicated space for our studio. It will soon be filled with gallery wraps and albums for our clients to enjoy.

Little Miss Lina was such a cutie pie. We got some great shots despite how fast she moved. One year olds are hard to catch!

Here she is in all her cuteness..

We're back!

We're finally back! We didn't really go anywhere, but we've spent the last week moving and getting settled into our new home. We are officially McAllen residents!

And in the midst of bubble wrap and U-haul boxes, we took a breath of fresh air and went on a photoshoot. We have been anticipating this bridal shoot for a while. Antoinette was our very first client to book us for a wedding. Her wedding isn't until October, but it meant so much to us that she would trust us with such an important day when she booked us over half a year ago.

We had such a good time with her during the shoot. She was so relaxed and was such a great sport about trying different locations.

She looked absolutely stunning -- the true definition of a glowing bride-to-be...

Studio with a Vintage Flare...

This past weekend, I had my very first family session using my new vintage backdrops. I was super excited about this session! Laura and I met for a complimentary clothing consultation a week before to help her with clothing options. This is something my clients have started taking advantage of. It helps bring the whole look of the session together.

Here is a glimpse into the classic studio session with a flare.

Still crisp, clean and beautiful...

and vintage as well...

What a beautiful family, thanks Laura!

Beautiful love

I wanted to share a couple of photos from the engagement shoot we had at Las Placitas a couple of weeks ago. We have officially started our day jobs as engineers, so it's taking us a little longer than usual to update our blog. We have lots going on right now -- after four months of looking, Omar and I have finally found the house we've always dreamed of, and we are currently in the process of closing and all of the stuff that goes along with it. In addition to that, we started attending a fitness bootcamp to get us back into shape. My legs have been sore for the past week!

We had such a good time shooting this couple. We laughed as we went from frame to frame and we got some very beautiful images of them. Here they are..enjoy!

La Placita

Omar and I were asked to shoot pictures of a new event center coming to the Rio Grande Valley in the upcoming month. This place is just gorgeous and we were extremely honored to have been chosen as the photographers to capture their first images.

We highly recommend this place to any bride wanting to have an outdoor ceremony or reception. The landscapes are just breathtaking and we've never seen anything like it. How I wish I could get married all over again!

Their grand opening will take place on Thursday, May 22nd from 3PM to 7PM. All bride-to-be's are welcome to come and tour their open courtyard. They are located on 113 S. Cage Blvd in Pharr and you can reach them at 956-283-7601.

Take a look at what we got..

And one of my personal favorites... (click to see a larger image)
